Individuals Complete a Beautiful Volunteer Painting

At Spray Finishes, we’re grateful for our customers and surrounding communities that have helped us stay in business for more than 80 years. That’s why we strive to give back to our communities whenever possible by sharing our expertise and talents with organizations in need.

The most recent opportunity for us to do some pro bono work came about when we were contacted by SilverLining, Inc., a general contracting and construction management company that we often team up with on projects. They were in the midst of renovating a community meeting space at the Church of St. Paul & St. Andrew located at 236 West 86th Street in New York City, and asked if we would provide volunteer painting services as part of the renovation.

We were excited to be a part of this project because this church provides so many charitable services for those in need, including meal delivery, sheltering, and homework help for kids. On top of that, this opportunity was hot on the heels of another successful volunteer painting project where we partnered with SilverLining.

On the day of the project, more than two dozen volunteers pitched in to paint the walls and ceiling. It helped to transform the room into a brighter, more welcoming space. The before and after photos really show the difference.

“The ceiling looked awesome. Thank you so much for donating your team’s services. I’m sure all of the people served by the many programs at the church will appreciate the fresh new feel of the space,” the client said.

We certainly appreciate the compliments, but more than that we’re happy that our volunteer painting services played even a small role in helping this church continue to offer a safe, welcoming, attractive space for their members.
